A desert resort built around the evening
The Desert Mafia Resort & Camp is a cottage resort on the Jaisalmer–Sam–Dhanana Road, at the edge of the Sam Sand Dunes. Guests come here for the part of a Jaisalmer trip that a city hotel cannot offer: the hour when the dunes turn gold, the quiet after the day-trippers leave, and a night sky with very little light pollution.
We keep the stay simple and comfortable. Cottages are built in local sandstone with hand-painted interiors and attached bathrooms. Around them, the courtyard is set up for evenings of music, conversation and food. Safaris, dune dinners and stargazing are arranged for each guest rather than run to a fixed timetable.

Sam, on the edge of the Thar
Sam lies about 40–45 km west of Jaisalmer, where the road runs out of town and into open desert. The landscape is the classic Thar: rolling sand ridges, hardy khejri trees and wide horizons. Days in the cooler months are bright and warm; nights are clear and cold.
Staying here puts the dunes on your doorstep. You can be out for sunset without a long drive, and back at the resort in time for dinner and music.
